Individual Therapy
Sarah's approach to individual counseling is strength based and focused on wholistic wellness. We all want to live optimally - to live in a manner that keeps us evolving into more fulfilled individuals.  Unfortunately, sometimes it feels as though there are barriers that keep us from feeling or living the way we want.  Sometimes barriers can take the form of life changes or events such as having a child, job stressors, or the death of a loved one.  Sometimes barriers take the form of more pervasive mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, or addiction.  Other times, barriers to living optimally take the form of external events we have even less control over such as traumatizing events.

Regardless of the nature of the barrier, Sarah believes that our emotional and behavioral responses are our body's way of communicating to us that there needs to be a change.  Sometimes the needed change is simply seeing frustrations in a new light or learning new skills to help cope.  Other times the change needed is more pervasive.

Sarah's supportive approaches to counseling focus on helping individuals highlight the changes that they feel are needed.  She then supports them to begin experimenting with new ways of being.  She acknowledges that change, even positive change, can be unsettling and intimidating.  She provides support that allows individuals to take the steps necessary to embark on a new life path.
